Various Blind and Shutter Options For You To Choose From
Plantation Shutters: These window coverings are made of slats that can be tilted to control light and privacy. These are typically made out of wood or MDF (compressed wood), which is often referred to as a composite shutter.
Blinds: Window coverings similar to plantation shutters, normally with 2-inch or 2 ½-inch slats that can be adjusted to control light and privacy. These are typically referred to as Faux Wood Blinds (PVC) or Wood Blinds.
Roman Shades: These window coverings can fold up when raised or roll up like a roller shade. They can either have a flat or a full-fold look when lowered. They are typically made out of fabric, and when lowered, they can either be sheer, light filtering, or room darkening.
Woven Wood Shades: These window coverings are similar to Roman shades; they fold up when raised and hang flat when lowered. Unlike Roman shades, these window coverings are made out of wood fibers, which are then woven together to give the feel and impression of fabric.
Roller Shades: These window coverings are made out of polyester and/or vinyl materials. They roll up into a tube at the top and can be covered with various forms of valances. When lowered, they are completely flat. They can consist of sheer, light filtering, or blackout materials.
Cellular Shades: Unlike the other shades made of fabric, these shades are not flat when lowered but are pleated with their honeycomb structure. Like all shades, cellular shades must be raised and lowered in order to control light exposure. This is one of the best options for a blackout effect.
Sheers: These window coverings combine the look of curtains with the functionality of blinds. Like horizontal blinds, these window coverings can be fully lowered and adjusted by tilting the fabric louvers, allowing supreme light control. They are also available in a vertical configuration that has veins that can be adjusted for light control.
